The myth that is created by society and the media especially social media that skinny girls  are beautiful or rather better looking than full figured girls and are socially acceptable is not true. Due to the roller coaster created by social media constantly changing our lives trying to mould it, to fit in what they want society to believe. In my research I came across a drum magazine in this edition they were celebrating 60years of drum being in existance. One thing I noticed was that back in the day models were big or what is known today as "plus size models", women born in the 50's,60's and 70's loved their curves and they embraced them. They were not afraid to wear what ever they wanted whether it was long or short these women just loved themselves. They were seen as beautiful and perfect enough to fit what ever scene the media felt that they should be seen in. Once again the media is channelling our lives in the direction it wants and is ruling the lives of many people.  One thing we have to remember is that we African girls are built to fill our clothes to the brim lol let us forget what the media says is right or wrong and just love our curves!!

I think that we need to remove these binding chains that society has set for us, these chains that kill our self confidence and any hope of ever feeling beautiful in our own bodies. Why is that people conform so much to rules set by society instead of being yourself and create your rules and make society conform to what you have set for yourself and what makes you happy. If you cannot be happy with who you are, and what you have then nothing in the world can ever make you happy. You'll just always go with the flow because you want to fit in this "perfect" world which everyone else has created for you. Who said full figured girls are not for all seasons? We need to love ourselves and appreciate our bodies as well as dress for them. Big sizes are created to be worn by big girls because they look good in anything, so dont be ashamed guys and girls if you've got it, FLAUNT IT because your beautiful and theres nothing anybody can do to change that!!! :)

A body that fits!!

Some people are happy that summer is finally coming to an end, mainly because they are tired of the heat and the fact we all look good in winter fashion. Our bodies fit into anything we want to wear without having to worry about how our tummies are sticking out or how bad your cellulite looks in shorts. Winter is considered to be the comfortable season for all where you can eat what you like and still fit into your clolthes perfectly. Its shocking how society and what peoples thoughts on us control our lives,your prefrence of season and fashion sense. Even men have a preference on which body they would like their women to have each season,its been said that in winter ladies with a fuller figure look good in winter fashion. But remember this do not get too comfortable in winter and bing or over eat,the trench coat can only cover so much. Summer will be back again in five months and you dont want to be faced with an even bigger problem (excuse the pun).
